Key Responsibilities

Successful applicants will be responsible for:

  • Collecting municipal revenue using Electronic Point of Sale (POS) machines.
  • Ensuring all collected funds are deposited into council bank accounts on time.
  • Verifying that all revenue due to the council is collected accurately.
  • Maintaining proper accounting and financial records.
  • Safeguarding and properly operating revenue collection devices.
  • Preparing and submitting daily revenue collection reports.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Tanzanian citizen.
  • Have completed Form Four, Form Six, or hold a Certificate qualification and possess basic smartphone skills.
  • Not be employed by the Government.
  • Be between 18 and 45 years of age.
  • Have no criminal record.
  • Submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with contact information.
  • Provide the names and contacts of two referees.
  • Attach copies of academic certificates and birth certificate.
  • Possess a National Identification Number (NIDA) or National ID.
  • Be willing to work at any revenue collection point within Tunduma City.
